Reporting Units and Roles

The reporting units and roles of Access, Civil Rights & Community are responsible for facilitating access to education, equal employment opportunity, as well as to participation in all university programs, services, and activities. Our units serve all members of the university community and its visitors.

Our units include the Office of Academic Inclusive Excellence, the Office for Access & Equity, and the coordinators designated by the university to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and other federal and state laws. The university’s designated Undocumented Student Resource Liaison and related services are also located in Access, Civil Rights & Community.

Undocumented Student Resource Liaison

Each public institution of higher education in the state of Illinois is required to designate an employee as the Undocumented Student Resource Liaison. Undocumented Student Liaisons must be available on campus to provide assistance to undocumented students and students from mixed status families.
