As members of our campus community, we each have a responsibility to address bias and discrimination to promote fairness. In an effort to build awareness and knowledge to address bias, members of the University of Illinois campus community are invited to participate in the Understanding Bias and Discrimination Series on Canvas, which examines the ways that bias and discrimination can impact groups of individuals in specific ways. The series also explores campus and community resources to continue your learning and access additional support. By clicking the button below, you will enroll in a Canvas site and have access to our current modules.
The Understanding Bias and Discrimination series is hosted on the Canvas LMS, which is available to any individual with an Illinois netID. This series currently includes three modules:
- Introduction to Bias and Discrimination
- Understanding Antisemitism
- Understanding Islamophobia.
Participants will navigate through videos designed by subject experts with input from campus community members. Additional modules are in development for the upcoming year.
We hope you will take a moment to explore the series and learn more about how to build your skills and awareness to create an inclusive campus community.
